Chester-based brand agency, Tactical Solutions, has announced that it has become a Carbon Neutral business.
The leading field marketing agency, that works with some of the UK’s largest FMCG brands, audited its Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) through ClimatePartner, calculating emissions from sources such as energy and heating, business travel and office supplies.
In partnership with ClimatePartner, a solutions provider for corporate climate action, Tactical Solutions has now joined over 4,000 companies globally committed to eradicate or offset business CO2 emissions.
The business will use its CCF insight to identify where carbon emissions within its business practices can be improved or removed entirely through positive change. Annual audits will also take place to monitor progress and identify additional areas for improvement.
This year, Tactical Solutions has pledged to offset 809,000kg of its CO2 emissions (equivalent to average annual carbon footprint of 114 people) by investing in recognised carbon offset projects in the Southern Hemisphere, which also promote sustainable development and economic progress. These projects will help to protect forests, clean up oceans and improve the world’s drinking water.
Alongside this, to further improve its carbon footprint, Tactical Solutions is implementing smarter travel and office based environmental solutions.
Cathy Evans, Managing Director at Tactical Solutions, said: “Maintaining the sustainability of our planet is a common purpose for each and every one of us – no matter your wider business objectives. We know that our colleagues and the customers that we work with are equally as passionate about making the world a better place.”
Luke Rowlands, Head of Convenience at Unilever, said: “It’s great to know Tactical Solutions has embarked on a journey to reduce its carbon emissions. It is a quality and consideration that is very important to us and therefore any agency that we work with that is an advocate for improving the environment is a good thing.”
Commercial Director at Quorn, Phil Watson, added: “I was delighted to see that Tactical Solutions is committed to becoming Carbon Neutral. It is great to see one of our important partners supporting Quorn’s total path to net neutral.”
Tactical Solutions is also pending B Corp accreditation and hopes to be recognised with this award in 2022. The B Corp certification is held by over 3,720 companies in over 150 different industries worldwide.
